So What?
1) The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) compiled data for life expectancy at birth and the
number of CT (computed tomography) units per million population in several countries.
2) Considerable improvement in life expectancy with increasing CT units up to about 21 per million population in Iceland.
3) Life expectancy actually decreases as the number of CT units increases over 24 per million population for Italy, Austria,
Luxembourg, US, Belgium, and Korea.
4) The majority of countries are grouped with life expectancies between 77 and 81 years and CT units between 6 and 32 per
million population.
