1) In this chart, the U.S. Department of Agriculture budget has been corrected for inflation to indicate constant-buying power
(real) FY2000 dollar value over time.

2) The real U.S. Department of Agriculture budget was set around $35B from 1965 through 1974, then dramatically increased
to around $75B by 1983. From 1986 through 1988, it dropped to $65B. From 2004 through 2006, it increased up to $80B.
